Before you commit to renovating

The right work can change how a home is seen

A tired room can make a buyer think about the work ahead. A well-prepared home gives them room to imagine living there.

The opportunity is different in every property. Some homes need repairs, fresh finishes and careful presentation. Others have a kitchen, bathroom or underused area that deserves more attention. Our job is to identify where the work has a clear purpose and where your money is better left unspent.

We look at the home’s condition, comparable properties, likely buyers and your selling plans. Where you have an agent, we bring their market insight into the discussion. Then we weigh the proposed work and costs against selling the home as it stands.

A considered plan for your property and your money

Keep what still works

Sound features can remain part of a strong result. We look at what can be retained, repaired or refreshed before recommending replacement.

Spend where it matters

A sound kitchen may need refreshed finishes rather than replacement. A damaged floor or awkward room may deserve more attention. We consider what buyers will notice, what the work involves and how the cost fits the overall sale plan.

Look beyond the sale price

A higher price only tells part of the story. The proposed renovation, funding and selling costs need to make sense together. We discuss the figures and priorities with you before the scope is agreed.

We take the preparation off your shoulders

You do not need to find each trade, organise their sequence or spend your days following up the work. Uplift brings the renovation and presentation together, with one point of contact throughout.

Depending on the agreed plan, preparation can include repairs, painting, flooring, kitchen, bathroom and laundry improvements, outdoor presentation and staging. We coordinate the trades and selections, keep you informed and work towards the preparation schedule agreed with you and your agent.

You stay in control of the important decisions. We take care of organising the delivery.

Renovate now. Repay at settlement

You do not have to put the agreed pre-sale renovation on hold while you find the money to pay for the work upfront. Uplift funds it and manages it, with the funding repaid at settlement.

Before you commit, we take you through the proposed scope, costs, funding terms and timing in writing. You can see what is included and understand the arrangement before deciding to go ahead.

How it works

From your first conversation to market-ready

01

Talk through your plans

Tell us about the property, where it is and when you hope to sell. The first phone or video conversation is free and helps us understand what you want to achieve.

02

Assess the opportunity

We look at the property and discuss the work that may be worthwhile, taking its condition, market context and proposed costs into account.

03

Agree the work and funding

Review the scope, quotation, funding terms and expected schedule before committing. This is the point to understand the figures and ask questions.

04

Bring the plan to life

We organise the renovation, coordinate the trades and keep you updated. If the scope needs to change, we discuss the work and costs with you for approval.

05

Prepare for the campaign

We complete the agreed preparation and staging, coordinating with your agent around photography and the sale campaign. The funding is repaid at settlement under the agreed terms.

Your questions

Questions before you take the first step

The funding, the work and the sale. Get clear on how they fit together.

Can I use my own agent?

Yes. Your agent retains the listing and manages the sale. Uplift looks after the agreed preparation, renovation and staging, working with the agent on the property presentation and campaign timing.

Does my home need a full renovation?

Not necessarily. The assessment helps us decide what deserves attention. A targeted refresh may be the right scope; more substantial work needs a clear reason. We start with your property rather than a standard package.

What will the work and funding cost?

The figures depend on the property, agreed scope and funding arrangement. We explain the quotation and written terms before you decide. You can discuss what is included, any charges and how changes to the sale timetable would be handled.

How long will preparation take?

The scope, selections, material availability and trade sequence shape the schedule. We discuss those details and your intended sale timing during planning, so your agent can prepare the campaign around the work.
